School Admissions

All children are required by law to attend school from the start of the term following their fourth birthday. All of our new starters begin school in the September following their fourth birthday.

Admission applications are made to North Yorkshire County Council who then allocate places and advise school and parents in the April prior to starting school.

All our classes are single year groups.

In Reception and Key Stage 1, (Years 1 and 2) we are limited to 30 children per class.

In Key Stage 2, (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) there is no limit to the number of children in a class, although 30 is still considered an advisable number.  Our Published Admission Number for each year group is 30.
