Safeguarding

Moorside Primary School and Nursery is committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all children in school. All North Yorkshire schools, including Moorside Primary School and Nursery, follow the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board (NYSCB) procedures.

The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their child. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police, without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures). The school will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents.

The school shares a purpose with parents to keep children safe from harm and to have their welfare promoted.

If you would like to find out more information about keeping children safe please refer to our Child Protection Policy or visit the following recommended websites :-

Key Worker Registration

As you will have heard, schools are to remain partially open for specific groups of pupils over the coming weeks.  To help us collate a weekly list of children who will be in school so we can manage appropriate staffing, we ask that you complete this form EACH WEEK if you feel that you fall into a 'key worker' category and you require childcare for the following week.
