Moorside Primary School and Nursery – Classroom Teachers

3 Roles Available – 2 x Full Time Roles (1 x KS1 and 1 x KS2) & 1 x 0.3FTE in KS2

We are a friendly Community Primary School and Nursery in the city of Ripon.  Our school serves a fantastic community and the educational experiences that we offer our children are unique!  Learning is built on the foundations of nurture and our enriching curriculum is linked to our on-site Forest school provision. We have a strong and supportive team and place great value on collaboration, ensuring that every member of our school community feels valued.

We would like to appoint two full time and one part time Classroom Teachers, starting on 1st September 2026.  The ideal candidates must be enthusiastic, committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum and have the motivation to develop themselves professionally in collaboration with others.

Please specify if you are applying for KS1 or KS2 full time or 0.3FTE KS2.

You will be required to demonstrate your knowledge of child development and your experience in supporting children with SEND, as well as the essential skills needed to help all pupils make progress across the curriculum and develop a love of learning. Please express your strengths and experience in leading a specific subject area.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher with strong knowledge of the curriculum and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidates will create engaging learning opportunities and bring the enthusiasm and energy needed to motivate all pupils, working collaboratively with our nurturing team.

Both posts are established contracts and are subject to the National Teachers Terms and Conditions and Main Scale Pay (which will be dependant on experience).

Job purpose:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
  • Create a nurturing learning environment to support children’s learning and share achievement.
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, other school staff and external agencies.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
  • Adopt our whole school nurturing ethos with a clear understanding of pivotal behaviour strategies and contribute to our positive behaviour policy.
